The Wisdom of President Jefferson
One has to wonder what has driven the United States of America off course of the
much of the foundation which the founding fathers constructed. An example is Thomas Jefferson, founding father of the United States, author of the Declaration of Independence, President and statesman was devoted to certain principles especially civic duty and opposition to privilege, aristocracy and corruption.
His principles of government were:
- Peace
- Commerce
- Honest Friendship With All Nations – Entangling Alliances With None
Abraham Lincoln later said about the third President of the United States – “The principles of Jefferson are the axioms of a free society.”
